What Happens When You're With Your Sis

It was a Thursday afternoon. We were inside because it was too hot outside. Me and my younger sister KayleeBeth sat on my bed giggling for no reason at all. But then when we choked at the last giggle (I really think we were going insane by being cooped up in the house) we realized we were bored out of our minds! (Which I know is hard to believe because laughing your head off about nothing is pretty fun to do.) So I said, "Let's take some sister pictures!" and so we did. Here are a few of them . . .

KB: "Yeah, she's pretty crazzzzy!"

Me: "You're one to talk! At least I don't have my tongue hanging out of my mouth."

This one's my favorite. Ain't we the sweetest? :)

KB: "I bet you can't read my mind!"

I thought this would look cute at the time . . . funny how you change your mind.

A Favorite Hymn of Mine

The name of my blog may make some of you think of that good old fashioned hymn "I've a Home Beyond the River" by John W. Peterson. I named my blog after that song because I have a home beyond the river in heaven and because I live in a house just off the bank from a river. I guess you can call it a "double meaning."

~I've a Home Beyond the River~

1. O the blessed contemplation,
when with trouble here I sigh,
I've a home beyond the river,
that I'll enter by and by.

Chorus
I've a home beyond the river,
I've a mansion bright and fair,
I've a home beyond the river,
I will dwell with Jesus there.

2. Just a little more to labor,
Tell the story, watch and pray;
Just a few more earthly sorrows,
then to heaven we'll fly away!
Chorus

3. O how sweet 'twil be to meet them,
all the ransomed host's above,
Sweeter still to see the Savior,
Praise Him for redeeming love.
Chorus

4. Tho the world is filled with sorrow,
and the teardrops often fall,
there will be but joy and gladness,
safely inside the jasper wall.
Chorus

5. Tho the hills are rough and stony,
and the valleys dark and cold,
I must walk the path before me,
it will someday turn to gold.
